An American flag retirement ceremony is scheduled for 4:30 p.m. this Saturday (Oct. 3) at VFW Post 473 in Cabool.
Anyone having an old flag can bring it to the event or drop it off beforehand at either the VFW post or American Legion Post 41 in Houston.
The ceremony will be followed by a grill-out with of hot dogs and hamburgers, followed by marshmallows.
