The following are excerpts from reports generated by the Houston Police Department:
•Amanda L. Massey, 35, of Vanzant, was arrested Aug. 10 for having active Texas County warrants for possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and driving while revoked.
An officer made the arrest at about 2:30 a.m. in the front lobby at Texas County Memorial Hospital after being advised Massey was being discharged following an earlier motor vehicle accident. She was taken to the Texas County Jail where she was unable to post $500 bond.
•Christopher P. Willrett, 30, of 1232 Ozark St. in Houston, was issued a citation for second-degree property damage after allegedly kicking in the back door at a 50-year-old man’s Spruce Street residence during an incident at about 12:10 July 21. Willrett was taken to the Texas County Jail for a 12-hour hold period.
•Scotty D. Gately, 39, of 713 W. Chestnut St. in Houston, was issued a citation for stealing under $500 after allegedly shoplifting air rifles from Walmart at about 7:20 p.m. June 23. Another 30-year-old man was reportedly also involved who had a record including stealing-related offenses in September 2013 and January 2014. A probable cause statement was sent to the county prosecutor seeking multiple charges against him.
•Justin L. Creech, 30, of 3560 County Road 1640 in Licking, was issued a citation for private peace disturbance after an incident at a Dooley Street residence at about 10:45 p.m. Aug. 2.
•Marcus Chamberlain, 41, of 106 Acorn Lane in Houston, was arrested Aug. 4 for having an active municipal warrant for failure to appear on a charge of allowing an animal to run at large.
An officer made the arrest at a U.S. 63 business after being advised Chamberlain was there. He was taken to the Texas County Jail where he posted $500 bond and was released.
