The Houston High School football team will debut a new look alongside its new head coach this season.
The Tigers are switching from red helmets with a block ‘H’ on the side to black helmets with the team logo on each side. Players will also wear new Under Armour uniforms. The home jerseys are black with white lettering and numbers that are trimmed in red. The away jerseys are white.
HHS, under the direction of first-year coach Eric Sloan, began official practices Monday. The team is hosting its annual scrimmage Saturday and opens the season Aug. 21 at Hollister.
