The Houston Schools board of education made many hirings and resignations during the closed session of last week’s monthly meeting.

Along with naming Eric Sloan the new high school assistant principal, the board made these hirings:

  • Rhonda Grumadas, high school math.
  • Sascha Huang, high school science.
  • Carla Taylor bus driver.
  • Joy Walton, high school English.
  • Kimberly Freeman, speech language pathologist.
  • Joni Bobbitt, special education process coordinator.
  • Jodie Tottingham, middle school girls’ basketball head coach.
  • Patricia Roberts, middle school math and assistant middle school girls’ volleyball coach.
  • Angela Turner, middle school cheer sponsor.

The board accepted these resignations:

  • Deanna Smith, speech-language pathologist.
  • Brittany Roberts, speech-language pathologist.
  • Jerry Postlewait, custodian.
  • Olivia Whitefield, elementary counselor.
  • Tim Davidson, mathematics.
  • Daniel Narancich, paraprofessional.
  • Delinda Dzurick, paraprofessionals.
