The superintendent of the Cabool School District will become the next principal of West Plains Middle School in July.
Dr. Wesley Davis will assume the role. He replaces Lenny Eagleman, who is set to serve as the West Plains School District transportation director and A+ coordinator starting July 1.
Davis has been superintendent at Cabool since 2003. Before Cabool, he served as the superintendent at the Greenfield R-IV School District.
Davis holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree in education and a specialist in education, all from Southwest Missouri State University. Davis also holds an executive doctorate of education from Saint Louis University.
“I am extremely honored to be given the opportunity to serve the West Plains School District as the middle school principal. I look forward to working with students, parents and community members,” said Davis. “My wife, Stacy, and I are excited to be a part of the West Plains community. We know it will be a wonderful community to raise our three boys.”
“We are extremely pleased to hire Dr. Davis as the new West Plains Middle School principal. He is a great fit and has a proven track record of working collaboratively with teachers in his roles at other school districts. We are confident Dr. Davis has the experience and talent to effect positive and lasting change at West Plains Schools,” said Dr. John Mulford, superintendent of the West Plains School District.
