A 53-year-old inmate from the South Central Correctional Center at Licking died Saturday night.
Officials said Gilbert Hickman was pronounced dead at St. Mary’s Hospital in Jefferson City. He was serving a 25-year sentence for first-degree robbery from St. Louis (city). He had been in prison since December 2006.
A department spokesman said he died of apparent natural causes.
