Several races will be decided in elections slated for April 7 in Texas County.
Here is a list of filings that were recently completed, and they have not earlier been published:
Texas County: County voters will be asked to discontinue applying and collecting the local sales tax on the titling of motor vehicles, trailers, boats and outboard motors that were purchased from a source other than a licensed Missouri dealer.
City of Cabool: John Mark Hale and Jim Sigman, two-year term, alderman Ward II.
City of Licking: Linda Miller and Keith Cantrell, two-year term, mayor; Danny Wade and Joe D. Dillard Jr., two-year term, Ward I; and Joyce Cook and Dale Krewson, two-year term, Ward II.
Village of Plato: Rosemary L. Stuart and Theresa Ryan. (Three to elect for two-year term)
Village of Raymondville: Dennis Grose and Donald R. Barton Jr. (Three to elect for two-year term)
Burdine Township: Andy Knapp, David R. Mathis, Jaimie Everling, Norman Nevill, Brian Mollhagen, board member, two, two-year terms.
Carroll Township: Earl Walls and Charolette King, treasurer, two-year term.
Clinton Township: Vince Davis, Danny Nungesser, Albert Hicks and Chris Emery, board member, two, two-year terms.
Current Township: No one filed for treasurer, clerk and two board member positions. (These positions — along with several in other townships — will be determined by write-in).
Lynch Township: No one filed for one, two-year term as board member.
Morris Township: No one filed for treasurer and clerk, both are two-year terms.
Piney Township: Diana L. Hill and Victoria Castleman Narancich, treasurer, two-year term; Donald J. Collins, Don Gaston and Ron Frey, two, two-year terms.
Roubidoux Township: No one filed for treasurer, clerk and two, two-year terms as board member.
Sargent Township: No one filed for treasurer and board member. Both are two-year terms.
Summersville school board: Jeff Atchison, Danny J. Smith, Barbara Conner, Michael Stoops and Sam Jewett, two, three-year terms.
Cabool school board: Melissa D. VonAllmen, Vera Rose, Sheila Long, Kaye Hale, James H. Gray, Ted Noirfalise and Kevin Clary, two, three-year terms.
Cabool School District: A five-year extension of the current property tax.
Plato School District: Permission to increase the operating tax levy ceiling by 37 cents per $100 assessed valuation to provide funds for site development, construction, equipping and furnishing of additional classrooms that will accommodate the community FEMA safety building combined with FEMA resources. A new secured main entrance and corridor connecting school buildings also would be put in place.
