The Houston Alumni Association is making plans for its annual homecoming activities Oct. 3-4.
Members are asking for members of graduating classes ending in “4” and “9” to decorate merchants’ windows with memorabilia.
A homecoming parade is 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 3. The queen coronation is at 6:30 p.m. followed by the football game at 7 at Tiger Stadium. You can watch the event live at houstonherald.com/live.
A breakfast is 7-10 a.m. Saturday at the Houston Senior Center.
A mixer with alumni is 2-4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 4, at Hiett Gymnasium. A short program will begin at 3 p.m. with alumni updates, scholarship reports and honored classes ending in “4” and “9” recognized. There is no charge.
On Sunday, the Houston Lions Club will host a fish fry from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the community building at the fairgrounds on North U.S. 63.
