The following reports were generated last week by the Texas County Sheriff’s Department:
•A deputy investigated a request by the Cabool Police Department at about 6 p.m. July 16 to check the well-being of a woman at a Stack Road residence who might have a head injury.
The officer made contact with a woman there who was lying by the roadway and complaining of a headache. The officer observed no injuries, but the woman was taken by ambulance to a hospital.
•A Mountain Grove man called at about 8:40 p.m. Aug. 2 to report that he had been unable to make contact with his wife in three days. An investigating deputy went to the man’s Hidden Valley Road residence and was able to make contact with the woman. She stated she and her husband were getting a divorce and she is not answering his calls.
•A deputy responded at about 7:20 p.m. Aug. 2 to a report of ATVs running up and down Ware Road at Licking at a high rate of speed. The officer spoke to residents in the area, but was unable to locate the vehicles or their drivers.
•Frances Q. Gibson, 32, of 10608 Lone Pine Road at Mountain Grove, was issued a citation for property damage following an incident at her residence at about 4:10 p.m. July 26. Gibson allegedly broke down a bathroom door during a domestic dispute.
•A deputy responded at about 5:25 p.m. July 31 to a request by an ambulance crew to help get a drunk person into a Dekalb Lane residence.
•A deputy investigated a report of shots fired at about noon July 31 at a Camden Lane residence at Bucyrus.
The officer determined no shots had been fired, but a 54-year-old woman at the location was taken to Ozark Medical Center in West Plains for a voluntary committal and evaluation, and a .22-caliber rifle found inside the home was confiscated for safety reasons.
•A deputy was dispatched at about 9 p.m. July 29 regarding a report of a burglary at a Nevill Road residence at Cabool.
The officer made contact with a 35-year-old woman there who stated she uses the property for storage and numerous items had been swiped with a total value of close to $6,000. She named an 18-year-old Mountain Grove man as a suspect.
•A 78-year-old Summersville woman called July 30 to report four rings with a total value of $1,100 had been stolen from her Highway W residence.
A 24-year-old Summersville man was questioned as a suspect. Investigation of the matter continues.
•A 35-year-old Licking man reported July 23 that a black heifer cow weighing 700 pounds had been shot and killed at his Reynolds Road property. There are no suspects.
•A deputy investigated a report of animal abuse July 24 at a Highway 17 property near Highway AA.
Upon arrival, the officer was advised that deputies had been to the location before and that the woman who owns the property rescues and rehabilitates abused horses.
•Deputies were dispatched July 16 to a Nodaway Lane residence at Plato regarding a report of a burglary.
A 23-year-old woman who lives there stated that numerous items with a total value of $7,300 had been swiped. Investigation of the matter continues.
•A man called July 27 to report items had been stolen from his Prairie Road property. An investigating officer determined that nothing had actually been swiped.
