Asphalt improvements are under way this week in Houston, City Administrator Larry Sutton said.
Workmen will be laying new asphalt on Airport Road from Spruce Street to West Highway 17 and North Industrial Drive to Holder Drive and Lilly Avenue. A portion of Main Street also is slated for work.
Motorists are advised to avoid those areas.
The work is part of the annual program to improve streets. A quarter-cent sales tax pays for the work.
