The Houston Education Foundation is seeking the public’s assistance to raise the remaining funds to display students’ artwork at Houston Schools.

The group recently purchased two display cases for $2,880 that are hanging in the lobby of Hiett Gymnasium. Two local businesses –– Landmark Bank and Romines Motor Co. –– each donated $1,000 toward the project. The rest is being raised online.

Through the website Cause Momentum, HEF is accepting public donations for the final $880 to pay for the project. Just over 70 percent of the total has been raised, but funding has slowed since the effort went online.

HEF has 24 days remaining to raise the final $259 to pay for the cabinets.
