The following reports were generated last week by the Texas County Sheriff’s Department.
•A Licking man on April 21 reported that a 14-foot pipe gate had been destroyed on his Cameron Road property. There are no suspects.
•A deputy responded on March 31 to a report of drugs being sold at a Spruce Street apartment at Houston.
During an investigation, several items related to methamphetamine were found. Two 29-year-old men who live there were arrested and taken to the Texas County Jail. Probable cause statements were sent to the county prosecutor seeking charges against them.
•A deputy responded at about 10:30 p.m. April 19 to a report of loud music at a Northview Lane trailer park at Houston. Upon arrival, the officer heard no loud music.
•On April 20, an officer responded to a request by another agency to confirm the address of a 53-year-old Houston man. While performing the duty, the officer discovered that the man had failed to register as a sex offender.
A probable cause statement was sent to the county prosecutor.
•A deputy responded April 20 to a report of property damage at the Texas County Jail.
The officer determined that an incarcerated 36-year-old Licking man had punched a video monitor, causing major damage to its screen.
A probable cause statement was sent to the county prosecutor.
•On March 19, officers were dispatched to a Washington Lane residence at Licking regarding a report of drug activity.
During an investigation, several items related to methamphetamine were found. A probable cause statement was sent to the county prosecutor seeking charges against a 19-year-old female who lives at the location.
•A woman called 11:45 p.m. April 12 p.m. to report a car driving out of control on Neville Road at Dunn. An investigating officer was unable to locate it.
•Deputies responded at about 6:45 p.m. April 11 to a request for assistance in lifting a person at a Mineral Drive residence at Houston.
•John T. Maupin, 62, of 13716 Beeler Road at Cabool, was arrested April 19 for having an active Texas County warrant for child abuse and/or neglect. An officer made the arrest at Maupin’s residence and took him to the Texas County Jail where he was held on $250,000 bond.
•A deputy responded at about 2:15 p.m. April 18 regarding a 911 call from a 10-year-old boy who stated his friend was bleeding at a Business U.S. 60 residence at Mountain Grove. Before arrival, the officer was contacted and told to disregard because the call had been determined to be a prank.
•A deputy responded at about 10:45 p.m. April 17 to a report of a fight at a Hayes Drive residence. Upon arrival, the officer determined the situation had calmed down. Nobody involved wanted to pursue charges.
•A man called on April 18 to report that his 12-year-old daughter was acting poorly at his Hayes Drive residence. An investigating officer determined everything was OK and informed the parents of their options regarding behavior treatment.
