A woman from Licking was injured Monday afternoon on an ice-covered highway southwest of her hometown, the Missouri State Highway Patrol said.
Tpr. Marty Wiseman said a westbound 2005 Chevrolet Cobalt driven by Emma J. Connelly, 56, of Licking, lost control on ice, ran off the right side of the Highway BB and struck the ground.
A passenger, Cheri Y. Hamby, 52, sustained minor injuries and was taken by ambulance to Texas County Memorial Hospital. She was not wearing a seat belt, Wiseman said. Connelly was restrained.
The vehicle sustained moderate damage.
