Authorities are investigating an Oct. 26 shooting incident at a Cabool residence.
A 57-year-old Cabool man reported on Oct. 26 that he had heard gunshots outside his Finley Road residence just after midnight.
The man told an investigating officer he had found a bullet hole in his garage door and that the bullet had struck a car parked in the garage. The officer and the man examined the area and found two other bullet impacts, and a live Winchester 30-30 round at the roadway.
The officer seized as evidence a bullet that had lodged in the ballast of a fluorescent light.
The man stated that shots had been fired at a small building on his property about a month earlier. Evidence was sent to a lab for analysis and the matter is still being investigated.
