A Licking man was arrested by the Licking Police Department on Monday and charged with enticement of a child.
LPD Chief Scott Lindsey said officers arrested John Clay Hendrickson, 40, after officers investigated a report that a man was sending text messages to a juvenile female seeking to have sexual relations with her. Lindsey said that during the investigation Hendrickson admitted to the crime.
Hendrickson is already a registered sex offender in Missouri and is being held in the Texas County Jail on $750,000 bond, Lindsey said.
