Earlier: One of three samples from Houston’s water supply failed Saturday and the community’s boil-water order will stand until at least today, city officials announced.
Another round of testing will occur today.
The city has contracted with a public laboratory in Rolla in an effort to get the order lifted faster.

Earlier: Water test results from a private laboratory contracted by the City of Houston are expected to be known today.
Based on the outcome, there is a possibility Houston’s boil water order may be lifted today by DNR.
The City of Houston said Friday night it had hired a Rolla firm to test water samples to confirm there are no problems with the community’s supply after a 10-inch line broke early Thursday. The town has been under a boil water order since that time.
The move by the city advances the time frame to have the boil-water order lifted. Homes and businesses have had to use bottled water for consumption since Thursday.
