Texas County Sheriff’s Department authorities reported last week that no charges were filed after an investigation of a fight between two Cabool teenagers.
The investigation began when the Cabool Police Department called the TCSD March 28 at about 11:30 p.m. regarding an assault victim on his way to Texas County Memorial Hospital.
A deputy went to the hospital and made contact with the victim, an 18-year-old Cabool man, who stated that he and another 18-year-old male had been fighting. The man stated he had become angry when his girlfriend received text messages from the other man, and that the two had mutually agreed to meet at a location on Airport Road at Cabool and had traded punches for about three or four minutes. The deputy traveled to the other man’s Garst Street residence and spoke with him, and eventually determined that neither man wished to pursue charges.
The second man reportedly posted video of the fight on Facebook. The officer placed a copy of the video in a case file for future reference.
