A Florida electric cooperative official will become the next general manager at Intercounty Electric Cooperative.
Intercounty Electric Cooperative Board President Jim White announced Wednesday that the board of directors, after a thorough search for a new general manager, selected Aaron J. Bradshaw. He begins duties Friday, March 15.
At that time, Jack Rinne, who has filled in as interim general manager, will step down and continue with his duties as the manager of operations and maintenance.
Bradshaw will leave his position as vice president of member services of Choctawhatchee Electric Cooperative Inc (CHELCO), DeFuniak Springs, Fla., a more than $130 million distribution cooperative. In his current position, his professional abilities and responsibilities included many components of managing and operating a distribution cooperative and should prove to be a great asset for the Intercounty membership, White said.
White, speaking on behalf of the board of directors, commended Jack Rinne and Intercounty’s staff on their abilities and seamless management changes since the departure of Dwayne Cartwright, who left last October to fill the management position at Berkeley Electric Cooperative in South Carolina. “The board is looking forward to having Aaron join the outstanding team of employees who work to keep the lights on for our cooperative members every day,” White said.
Intercounty Electric Cooperative Association serves 2,916 square miles covering Phelps, Dent and Texas counties and parts of seven other counties. IECA operates 5,836 miles of line, serving more than 30,000 active meters and employs 118 local citizens.
