Ava outscored the Houston Tigers 35-18 in the second half Friday night en route to a 59-43 comeback victory.
HHS (4-8, 0-1 South Central Association) led 25-24 at the half but couldn’t hang onto the advantage. Ava outscored the Tigers 19-4 in the third quarter to pull away.
Devin Coulter, who made five 3-pointers, led Houston with 21 points as the lone player in double figures. Weston and Kolby Walker scored seven points apiece.
