A representative of a contractor working on a Texas County Memorial Hospital expansion project reported Dec. 19 to the Houston Police Department that eight spools of copper wire with a total value of $4,000 had been stolen from a storage container sometime after 7:15 p.m. the previous night.
An investigating officer observed that the lock to the container had been cut by what was likely a set of bolt cutters. There are no suspects.
