Three persons were injured in separate crashes Tuesday involving Texas County residents.

Two Houston teens were injured Tuesday afternoon when their vehicle ran off a Greene County road, struck a sign and overturned in a ditch.

Tpr. Richard Anderson of the Missouri State Highway Patrol said Braden C. McKnight, 18, was the driver of the 1999 Ford Taurus.

McKnight and a passenger, Jerry R. Chapman, 19, were taken by ambulance to Mercy Hospital in Springfield.

Anderson said McKnight was not wearing a seat belt; Chapman was. The vehicle sustained extensive damage on Highway NN four miles southeast of Springfield.

One person was injured Tuesday afternoon in an accident north of Summersville on Highway K, the patrol said.

Tpr. Terry Nelson said a northbound 2005 Chrysler Town and Country driven by Jason L. Steelman, 29, of Hartshorn, was passing another vehicle and struck a southbound 1998 Chevrolet 1500 pickup operated by Jamie L. Davidson, 28, of Mountain View.

Davidson, whose truck was totaled, was to seek his own medical treatment. Both were wearing seat belts, Nelson said.
