There were no fatal traffic accidents during the Memorial Day holiday, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

Captain Dwayne F. Isringhausen, commanding officer of Troop G, said troopers investigated five alcohol-related traffic crashes and responded to 17 traffic crashes on C.A.R.E. (Combined Accident Reduction Effort) designated highways. Troopers made 15 DWI arrests; 47 drug arrests; issued 388 speed summonses; 146 safety belt violation summonses; and 12 child restraint summonses.

Troopers assisted 151 motorists in Troop G in the course of the weekend.

Operations from the period from Friday, May 25, through Monday, May 28, include:

––107 speed summons.

––25 seat belt summons.

––Six child restraint summons.

––One commercial vehicle violation summons.

––One other hazardous moving vehicle summons.

––14 non-moving summons.

––Three driver’s license summons.

––Two driving while suspended/revoked summons.

––16 uninsured motorist summons.

––One minor-in-possession arrest.

––Two misdemeanor warrant arrests.

––One misdemeanor drug arrest.

––112 warnings.

“I am very pleased that no one lost their life on the roadways in Troop G this Memorial Day,” Isringhausen said. “Our troopers work very hard to keep the motoring public safe. Please do your part by resolving to be a safe driver.”
