Officers with the Houston Police Department recently apprehended several wanted persons with outstanding warrants and wrote several citations pertaining to traffic violations and theft.
The following are summaries of incidents recently dealt with by Houston police:
May 25
––Katherine K. Hickox, 22, of 15251 Simmons Drive at Cabool, was issued a citation for driving a vehicle with expired license plates after an officer noticed her maroon Ford Explorer traveling south on U.S. 63.
May 26
––Adam B. Smith, 21, of 108 Cedar St. in Houston, was issued a citation for displaying the license plates of another after a traffic stop at about 1:40 a.m. on Grand Avenue.
An officer made the stop after observing a gold Chevrolet Blazer fail to dim its high beams after it passed by him in a northerly direction.
June 1
Erica S.L. Wyble, 19, of 11650 Highway 32 at Roby, was arrested for having an active Texas County warrant for speeding and no proof of insurance.
An officer made the arrest at about 12:30 p.m. after observing Wyble driving on Augusta Street in Houston, and being aware of the warrant.
After Wyble was taken to the Texas County Jail, it was found that she also had an active warrant in Phelps County for forgery and an active Licking municipal warrant for allowing a dog to run at large.
––Jamie E. Lane, 31, of 13103 Highway C at Licking, was issued a citation for stealing under $500 after being caught shoplifting at Walmart at about 1 p.m.
––Christopher L. Hardy, 26, of 15418 Highway UU at Solo, was issued a citation for following too closely after the red Chevrolet pickup he was driving reportedly rear-ended another vehicle at the intersection of Holder Drive and Highway 63 at about 2:30 p.m.
June 3
Robert L. Lauer, 48, of 19177 Highway CC at Licking, was issued a citation for stealing under $500 after being caught shoplifting at Walmart at about 2:30 p.m., according to a report.
June 6
––Charles J. Smith, 19, of 8081 Possum Trot Road at Raymondville, was arrested for having three active Houston municipal warrants.
An officer made the arrest at a business after being informed Smith was there. Two of the warrants were for stealing under $500, while the other was for driving with a suspended license.
Smith was taken to the Texas County Jail where he was unable to post $552 cash-only bond.
June 8
––Kaden D. Miller, 17, of 11575 Highway AK in Cabool, was issued a citation for failure to affix a license plate to the front of a vehicle after an officer observed no front plate on a Chevrolet Silverado traveling north on U.S. 63 at about 8 p.m.
