River cleanup activities are scheduled this summer for three Ozarks streams.
The Jacks Fork River cleanup is Saturday, June 2. Registration is 8-9 a.m. at any of the seven sections of the river targeted for cleanup. A picnic starts at 6:30 p.m. at Alley Springs. Contact Pat Haviland at 417-932-4363 for more information.
The seventh annual Upper Current River cleanup is Saturday, June 16. Registration is 8-10 a.m. at Cedar Grove, Akers or Pulltite. A barbecue supper begins at 6:30 p.m. at the Round Springs picnic pavilion. The contact is Mary Flicker at 573-729-7065.
Registration begins at 8 a.m. Saturday, June 23, at Boiling Springs for the Big Piney River cleanup is Saturday, June 23. A celebration with food and prizes starts at 3 p.m.
