Two Texas County teenagers were injured Wednesday night in a U.S. 63 crash two miles north of Cabool, the Missouri State Highway Patrol said.
Troopers said a northbound 2007 Pontiac G6 driven by Tory Burgess, 19, of Bucyrus, swerved for debris in the roadway, crossed the centerline and was struck broadside by a southbound 2001 Pontiac Montana van operated by Briana D. Lay, 18, of Cabool.
Both drivers – who were wearing seat belts – were taken to Texas County Memorial Hospital. Burgess’s injuries were deemed minor, while Lay’s were classified moderate.
Both vehicles sustained extensive damage.
