The Texas County Health Department will be hosting back-to-school walk-in clinics at no cost the entire month of August.

Parents wishing to have their children vaccinated should bring a current copy of the child’s immunization record.

“One of the most important items to check off your list for back-to-school preparations is to make sure that your child’s immunizations are up to date,” said Jackie Smith of the health department. “Immunizations are one of the most important ways to protect children from disease and to keep them healthy and happy as they go through the school year.”

Clinics at the Houston office are 8 a.m. until 4:30 p.m.Monday-Thursday and 10 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. on Fridays. Clinics atthe Cabool office are 8:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. Wednesdays.
