Sales taxes collected by Texas County merchants during the latest monthly reporting period were down slightly, the Missouri Department of Revenue reports.
Collections from three half-cent sales taxes were down about 2 percent each. All three generated about $71,000 each.
For the year, collections remain up. More than $312,000 on each has been collected in the first four months of the year. That’s up more than $14,600 on each.
