A candidate filed paperwork Monday for the City of Houston’s Ward III council position.
David Arthur will seek the job. Incumbent Bill Maxwell does not plan to seek re-election.
In Ward II, Charles “Chalky” Wells has filed. Bruce Wilson will not seek re-election.
Don Tottingham will run for Houston mayor last week. Incumbent Steve Hutcheson is not seeking another term.
In Ward I, Alderman Sharon Sillyman will seek re-election.
Incumbents have filed for county positions: Omanez Fockler, Texas County Memorial Hospital; and Sally Smith, Texas County Health Department board.
Board members Tom Dunn and Jo Holland filed for re-election to the Houston board of education last week.
Persons have until Jan. 18 to file.
