A Texas County man was named Friday to the State Fair Commission by Gov. Jay Nixon.
Ted Sheppard, a Republican, was assigned to the commission that oversees the operation of the Missouri State Fair and is responsible for the selection and supervision of the fair director.
Sheppard has owned and operated his own dairy business in Cabool for more than 30 years and has served as a member of the Texas County and Tri-County fair boards. The governor appointed him for a term ending Dec. 29, 2012.
