A Houston church is holding auditions next week for a dramatic musical.
First Baptist Church is inviting community members to audition for “The Christmas Song,” a dramatic musical of the birth of Jesus Christ. Auditions begin at 6:30 p.m. Sept. 7 and 9. They are 10 minutes each and closed to the public.
Brett Reith, director, said the church seeks individuals who are able to sing and act, along with having the ability to perform in a dramatic theatre setting. Each candidate will be asked to sing a traditional Christmas carol acapella and read from script if auditioning.
Performance times are 3:15 and 7 p.m. Dec. 4 and 2:30 p.m. Dec. 5.
