A Licking woman received injuries late Monday afternoon when she swerved to miss a deer and struck an embankment about 12 miles north of her hometown, the patrol said.
Sgt. Jeff Kinder of the Missouri State Highway Patrol said Christina J. Clark, 71, was operating a 2009 Chevrolet Impala when the mishap occurred. Clark, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken to Phelps County Regional Medical Center with moderate injuries.
