A Summersville man was arrested last week for allegedly shooting at a vehicle, according to the Texas County Sheriff’s Department

Authorities say Dennis M. Wilson, 49, fired a round into the back glass of a vehicle when it would not stop after he approached it on Pinecrest Road in southeast Texas County during the early morning hours last Thursday. The bullet was recovered from the driver’s side sunvisor and narrowly missed the driver, the sheriff’s department said.

Wilson was arrested at his residence, and a .357 revolver was seized. He was charged with first-degree assault and shooting a firearm at a motor vehicle. He is held at the Texas County Jail on a $1 million bond.

Also last week, deputies arrested:

—Jasper D. Robbins, 21, of Houston, on a probation violation warrant. He is being held on a capias warrant with no bond.

—Timothy Simpson, 32, of Williamsburg, on charges of violence to an employee of the department of corrections. He is being held on $30,000 bond.

—Roger L. Wake, 25, of Cabool, on charges of peace disturbance, trespassing, resisting arrest by fleeing and careless and imprudent driving. He was released following a 12-hour hold with a summons for court.

—Margaret A. Gleason, 48, of Licking, on charges of misuse of 911. She was released after a 12-hour hold with a summons for court.

—Dustin L. McLard, 23, of Licking, on charges of stealing. He is being held without bond.

—Robert B. Cooper, 40, of Raymondville, on charges of first-degree property damage. He is being held without bond.
