Five Licking teenagers were hurt Friday night – two of them seriously – in a one-vehicle crash north of their hometown.
Tpr. Terry Nelson said a northbound 2001 Mercury Cougar driven by Daronda M. Overby, 16, ran off Kimble Road and struck a tree.
Injured are:
*Katlyn L. Cook, 15, whose moderate injuries sent her to Phelps County Regional Medical Center at Rolla.
*Tyler D. Flores, 15, with serious injuries and transported to the hospital in Rolla.
*Matthew R. Gross, 15, who had minor injuries and was taken by private vehicle to Texas County Memorial Hospital.
*Overby, who was to seek her own medical treatment.
*Aaron Taylor, 17, was flown to St. John’s Hospital in Springfield with serious injuries.
None of the teens was wearing a seat belt, Nelson said. The vehicle was totaled.
