Area veterans and the public are invited to share their concerns and issues at a town hall and listening post this month in West Plains.
The event is 6-8:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 20, at AmVets Post 98. It is hosted by the Missouri Veterans Commission in partnership with AmVets and the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.
Col. Gary Gilmore, state chaplain for the Missouri National Guard, will give a short presentation on veteran transition issues. Representatives of various commissions and organizations will be present to answer questions.
“The more we know about what the needs and concerns of our veterans are, the better we are able to address those needs now and in the future through legislative action and through Missouri Veterans Commission programs,” said Larry D. Kay, commission executive director.
