The Texas County Library system has won a grant from the Gates Foundation that will lead to 31 new computers at locations across the county. Area residents will have the opportunity to contribute as part of the matching grant program.
For each local dollar received up to $39,000, the library will be able to tap another $80,600 from the foundation.
Plans call for the placement of computers throughout the county: seven, Cabool; nine, Licking, seven, Summersville; and eight, Houston.
Donations to the library system are tax-deductible.
