Three Summersville residents were injured – one of them seriously – in a crash Wednesday morning three miles north of Summersville, the Missouri State Highway Patrol said.
Tpr. Dale Pounds said a southbound 1994 Chevrolet pickup driven by Kaylon A. Robertson, 17, was stopped in the roadway when his vehicle was struck in the rear by a 2007 Chevrolet Cavalier operated by Michelle K. McKee, 46.
Robertson and a passenger, Brylon A. Robertson, 10, had moderate injuries and were transported by ambulance to St. Francis Hospital in Mountain View. McKee’s injuries were serious, and she also was taken to the Mountain View hospital. All were wearing seat belts except McKee, Pounds said.
The pickup had extensive damage, and the car was totaled, Pounds said.
