Emergency preparation will be highlighted during training sessions later this month in Houston.

The Community Emergency Response Team is hosting them to teach about personal preparedness, fire suppression, light search and rescue, fire aid, disaster psychology, terrorism and the National Incident Management System.

Classes, which are Oct. 10, 17 and 24 at the Texas County Health Department meeting room, are free to those ages 18 and older. Ages 16-18 require parental consent. Times are 8:30 a.m. until 4 p.m.
