A Summersville woman faces several charges following a crash Friday in Houston, police said.

Officers said a vehicle driven by a Summersville woman, Davi L. Duncan, 19, approached the Holder Drive and Red Bud St. intersection and ran off the roadway. It traveled a short distance down the ditch line and struck a utility pole. Duncan said she was looking down at her cellular telephone and ran off the roadway. She was taken to Texas County Memorial Hospital following the Aug. 7 accident.

She was cited for minor in possession of alcohol, DWI and failure to keep right.

In other matters, officers:

-Cited Jonathan D. Page, 19, of Houston, with minor in possession of alcohol on Aug. 8.

-Reported no items were missing after attempted burglaries of units at West 17 Highway Storage on Aug. 4.

-Investigated an Aug. 5 accident that occurred when a vehicle backed down Cedar Street by Ethel M. Hill, 82, of Licking, struck a parked car owned by Charlene K. Douglas, 107B Cedar, on Aug. 5.

-Cited Richard S. Mann Sr., 310 W. Mill St., with excessive noise by dogs barking between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m. on Aug. 4.

-Investigated an accident Aug. 5 that police said occurred when a vehicle driven by Samantha K. Matchell, 17, pulled from a stop sign into the path of a car operated by Robert J. Hart, 23, of 115 Friend.

-Are investigating the weekend burglary of the concession stand at the Houston Municipal Swimming Pool. Some change and candy were taken.
