Four persons face alcohol-related charges following investigations by the Houston Police Department.
Officers:
-Charged Jason M. Patel, 21, of 1493 S. Sam Houston Blvd., with operating a motor vehicle in an intoxicated condition on July 29.
-Charged Payton A. DeMaria, 18; Michael D. Wallace, 18; and James D. Vestal, 18; with minor in possession of alcohol (beer) on July 30.
In other matters, police:
-Cited Andrew T. Ford, 19, of 902 Bryan St., with allowing his dog to run at-large (second offense) on Aug. 2. He was cited on July 29, along with Richard A. Weatherston, 22, of 902 Bryan St.
-Cited Lewis E. Morgan, 55, of 112 W. Spruce, No. 7, with driving while revoked on Aug. 1.
-Arrested Brandon L. Campbell, 29, of 107B Cedar, on a probation violation warrant on Aug. 1.
-Cited Tom Rose, 49, of 306 W. Chestnut, with stealing by shoplifting July 31 at Houston Wal-Mart. He also was cited with trespassing in that he had earlier been told to never enter the store. Police said Rose stole a Sponge Bob Squarepants backpack valued at $10.
-Cited Colleen S. Palmer, 43, of 6589 Cedar Lane Road, with stealing under $500. About $9 was taken from an employee’s purse at McDonald’s on July 23.
-Cited Mary Louise Skouby, 73, of 602 W. Ozark Ave., with failing to yield the right-of-way July 30 following an accident at U.S. 63 and First Street. Police said she struck a truck driven by Ryan W. Kell, 26, of Raymondville.
