Perennial winner Houston will compete for honors Oct. 20 at the 45th annual Missouri Community Betterment Conference in Jefferson City.
Houston will join Albany, Cabool, Shelbina, Arcadia Valley, East Prairie, El Dorado Springs and Louisiana in vying for awards. Judges earlier toured Houston and reviewed a project book that was submitted as part of the competition.
Gov. Matt Blunt will present the honors during the conference, which promotes economic development and improving the quality of life for residents.
