A clinic for flu and/or pneumonia shots is planned Friday, Oct. 10, at the Houston Senior Center.
Bernadine Hohlt, administrator, said the center and Maxim Health Systems are coordinating the event.
Medicare, along with insurance from Aetna, Advantra and Mercy Health Plans, can be filed.
She said the program aims to increase the number of people who get vaccinated, a step determined by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention as the single most effective way to prevent flu.
