Howell County authorities executing a search warrant of a West Plains man’s home discovered knives that may link him to an earlier burglary of the Houston’s MFA Agri-Services.

Sheriff Robert Crites Jr. said officers from the Howell County Sheriff’s Department discovered a box of knives that may link Richard D. Jenkins, 44, to the Houston crime. Also inside Jenkins’ home were a refrigerator, Whirlpool range, two kitchen tables and other home décor that were swiped from Right Way Homes in West Plains.

Jenkins, who was born in Houston, was charged with second-degree burglary and theft/stealing of property more than $500 but less than $25,000, both felonies. Jenkins is free on $15,000 bond.

Crites said one of his investigators is working with Houston officers related to the knives. No charges have been filed at this time.
