Authorities are investigating the theft of $21,000 in Missouri Lottery tickets from a local business, police said.
The disappearance occurred July 15 at Bullseye in Houston. While conducting an audit, the business discovered the missing scratch-off tickets.
Police said the investigation continues, and they expect an arrest in the case. The Missouri Lottery Commission also is involved with the inquiry.
In other matters, police:
-Heard from Larry Giddens, 63, of 1001 Cedar Ridge Road, on July 19 concerning unauthorized transactions in a bank account. Someone had stolen his debit card number, expiration date of the card and a three-digit security code. The total transactions totaled $2,970.
-Investigated damage to a vehicle parked at the Texas County Courthouse by Juna L. Rice, 34, of Norwood. When she returned from her vehicle July 23 she found a deep gouge on the vehicle and a transfer of paint.
-Charged Jeannie M. Grubbs, 49, 1020 Thomasville, with disobeying an electric signal on June 24.
-Arrested Freda M. Ramsey, 36, of 702 Sommerfield, on a Wright County warrant charging her with passing bad checks and a Phelps County warrant charging her with failing to appear on an original charge of fraud – insufficient funds. She was unable to post a total of $900 in bonds on July 21.
