A suspect wanted in the passing of counterfeit bills at a Houston business was arrested in Phelps County, police said.
Officers were called Friday to Houston Wal-Mart, where nine $20 counterfeit bills were passed as part of a purchase of a digital camera.
The suspect was later arrested in Rolla, according to a report to police by the store.
In other matters, police:
-Charged Melissa A. Gentry, 20, of 112 W. Spruce St., Apt. 6, with minor in possession of alcohol (by consumption) on May 25. Gentry and another person were walking near Hamrick Avenue and Hawthorn Street when stopped following a report they were yelling at each other.
-Cited Terry L. McConnaughhay Jr., 22, of 304 Ozark St., with peace disturbance on May 22.
-Arrested Amanda R. Holder, 24, of 1026 Waverly St., on a warrant for failing to appear on a charge of expired license plates. She posted $71 bond on May 23.
-Charged Devin J. Carter, 20, of 721 Dooley St., with operating a motor vehicle while his operator’s license was revoked on May 17.
-Charged Thomas L. Rose, 47, of 306 Broadway, with failure to obey a police officer on May 21. Rose was ordered off a bicycle after he appeared to be intoxicated, and refused the policeman’s order. Rose was taken to the county jail.
