A 68-year-old Plato man received injuries late Saturday when his car swerved to miss a deer, struck a fence and came to rest on its top in west Texas County, the Missouri State Highway Patrol said.
Tpr. Terry Nelson said the driver, Roy E. Burgess, was flown to St. John’s Hospital in Springfield with moderate injuries after the crash on Highway M six miles west of Huggins.
Burgess was wearing a seat belt.
