The proprietor of a Houston restaurant was arrested Thursday on drug-related charges, authorities said.

Robin Hayes, 43, of Houston, was charged with possession of a controlled substance, a felony, and unlawful use of drug paraphernalia, a misdemeanor. She posted $25,000 bond.

A second person, Bobbie M. Crawford, 26, of Raymondville, also is charged, but had not been located as on Monday.

Members of the Houston Police Department and Texas County Sheriff’s Department raided Mom’s Kitchen and said they seized a drug believed to be methamphetamine at the business on U.S. 63.

Police said they entered the building and found Hayes standing next to a counter that had two syringes and two spoons with residue laying on it close to her proximity. Needles were found in Crawford’s purse.

Other items found during a search, included: used syringes, new syringes, a large kitchen spoon with residue, two cans with residue and an electronic scale. All were seized by officers.

Hayes denied any drug usage. Police said Hayes’ arms had scars and bruising consistent to intravenous drug use.
