Cables will be replaced and LED signal heads installed at the intersection of U.S. 63 and Highway 17 Thursday in Houston, according to the Missouri Department of Transportation.
Work will begin at 7 a.m., and traffic will be stopped in all directions for a 10-minute stretch around 8 a.m. as crews stretch guide wire and cabling across the intersection. Otherwise, minimal delays will be experienced throughout the day.
Bucket trucks will be in the intersection while work is being performed. The trucks will be located directly in the turn lanes on each side as the signal heads are being replaced, putting all traffic into one lane.
