Texas County began the new year with an increase in sales tax revenue, according to the Missouri Department of Revenue.
The tally from a half-cent sales tax was $74,955, which is an increase of $6,463 from a year ago.
Two half-cent sales taxes earmarked for the county justice center and general county operations each generated about $74,900, which was a jump of about $6,575 for each.
