The annual meeting Friday of Intercounty Electric Cooperative featured a health screening, election of board members, prizes and a free barbecue lunch.
The 71st annual event was at the Licking city park.
Three directors were elected to each serve three-year terms: Incumbents James E. White, St. James, (North District); Harold (Hal) T. Dandridge Jr., Plato, (Central District); and Richard (Rick) H. Ichord III, Houston, (South District).
Intercounty and Texas County Memorial Hospital sponsored free blood pressure, blood sugar and cholesterol screenings. Other lab work was available for a reduced fee from 8 a.m. to noon. Some tests require fasting from 10 p.m. the night before.
Breakfast was provided by the Green Forest 4-H Club.
A large area craft and business vendor show and a “kids tent” featured a coloring contest and registration for a bicycle.
