Neighbors in the Lay subdivision east of Houston are reporting the loss of a home and vehicles to fire this morning. Reports from the scene say a residence occupied by Steven Gobble was a total loss. Vehicles also were destroyed. Gobble, who escaped after discovering his bed on fire, lost everything.
